Sales · Key account management · Analytics

Sales, key account management, and the analytics behind both.

Summit Sales & Marketing represents consumer brands to the retailers that decide their categories, with the same senior team carrying the account from the first sales call through the day-to-day that follows it.

What we bring to the table

Three capabilities, one senior team

Most brands assemble these from three different partners. The disciplines inside each one work the same way at any retailer, and every one strengthens the next.

Sales

Principals in the room, not a coverage team.

  • Buyer relationships and line review presentation
  • Assortment architecture and price laddering
  • Distribution and door expansion
  • Joint business planning and annual negotiation
  • Category and competitive analysis

Key account management

The work between the meetings.

  • Forecasting, replenishment and demand planning
  • Sponsored product campaigns and retail media
  • Item setup, data integrity and EDI
  • In-stock, delivery and scorecard performance
  • Pricing compliance and enforcement

Analytics

Always on, across the whole business.

  • Continuous exception monitoring
  • Sell-through, share and velocity reporting
  • Assortment and distribution gap analysis
  • Promotional and media efficiency measurement
  • Line review and joint business plan analytics

Optimization at the foundation is what makes future growth repeatable. Every discipline we run strengthens the next.

Why we're built differently

The people who know the buyer and the numbers, together

Most brands choose between people who know the buyer and systems that know the numbers. The two rarely arrive together.

The usual option

Single-retailer rep groups

  • Deep relationships inside one account, built over decades
  • Analytics offered as a service line, staffed rather than systematic
  • A limited read on how other accounts affect price, share and forecast
The other option

Software and consultants

  • Real analytical rigor and decision discipline
  • Recommendations arrive as a report, not as an executed change
  • Execution stays with your team when the set date is a week out
Summit

One senior team

  • Senior relationships and the analytics behind them, carried by the same people
  • One foundational framework, applied to build a bespoke strategy for each account
  • The people who build the read are the people who present it

Relationships open the door. The analytics and the operations are what keep it open.

Where we operate

Read the business, set the plan, drive the growth, protect the margin

The same four moves in every channel. Every data set matters everywhere; what changes is which one leads.

Big box · Club · Grocery

Mass

Retail metrics guide the direction

  • Scorecard, in-stock and sell-through analysis to establish where the business stands
  • Modular resets and set dates built into the calendar so the line is ready early
  • Retail media, promotional planning and distribution expansion to grow the base
  • Operational shortfalls predicted early to mitigate negative financial impact
Marketplaces · Retail .com · DTC

E-commerce & marketplace

Algorithm-derived data sets the stage

  • Search rank, conversion and share-of-voice read on where demand is going
  • Content, PDP and SEO optimization that turns search into a strategic roadmap
  • Review harvesting and sponsored campaigns that feed the algorithm and lift conversion
  • Pricing enforcement and third-party seller management to protect margin
Department · Specialty · Boutique

Premium & specialty

Door-level and regional data shape the plan

  • Door-level sell-in and sell-through to identify which accounts are working
  • Seasonal drops and evergreen programs planned together, door by door
  • Door expansion, assortment depth and brand presentation to grow the footprint
  • Assortment shaped by data to minimize markdown and RTV exposure

Cross-retailer and multi-category. One foundational framework, applied to build a strategy bespoke to each account.

A defined operating rhythm

Discovery, strategy, action, execution, and repeat

Every account inherits the same framework, so issues surface in the week they appear with the recommendation already attached.

Weekly

Exception read

Price and compliance movement, in-stock and buy-box position, share of search, media efficiency. Only what changed, and what it costs.

Monthly

Account touchbase

Performance against plan, open issues by account, agreed next actions with owners and dates.

Quarterly

Business review

Category read, assortment and price architecture, promotional performance, forward plan.

Annual

Line review and JBP

Range recommendation, joint business plan, and the growth commitment both sides sign up to.

The team

Two partners, both sides of the table

Five decades of combined experience. You get principals on the account, not a coverage team, and a system that keeps working between the meetings.

Where we start

Every plan starts with an honest read of the business.

An account deep dive is the first work we do together: how the business is performing against its own potential, where the mechanics can be tightened to protect distribution and margin, and what a realistic growth path looks like. That read is what the plan gets built from, and what we hold ourselves to afterward.
